While a decade might seem like a long amount of time, that's exactly how long it took for Pearl to develop and refine the Decade Maple Series. The result is a range of kits bearing the professional-grade sound of a set of 6-ply, 5.4mm-thick maple shells to deliver solid sound, a fast response, and masses of high-end resonance and low-end power. This all-in-one, affordable four-piece kit gives any serious intermediate drummer the upgrade of an 18" x 14" bass drum, a 12" x 8" tom, a 14" x 14" floor tom, and a 14" x 5.5" snare, all finished in a Satin Black Burst. This kit also comes complete with a full hardware pack.

Optimised Resonance

To pull the best possible sound out of the maple shells, Pearl have applied a number of smart details to ensure optimal resonance. The most obvious is the three point OptiLoc tom-mount system that suspends the toms via two tension rods and one of two vents so that minimum contact is made with the shell. The lugs have also been kept as small and lightweight as possible to reduce the load on the shell walls, giving the maple the room it needs to fully resonate, while special chambers have been integrated into the floor tom legs to prevent vibrational transfer.

The HWP-834 Hardware Pack

The included HWP-834 hardware pack sets the kit up with a solid and durable snare stand, hi-hat stand, two cymbal stands, and a P-930 Demonator kick pedal. These 834-Series stands are chrome-plated and stabilised by double-braced legs to provide the full support of a reliable, un-shifting foundation.
